Headed to The Marlin Room at Webster Hall in New York City this May 30th is the legendary UK hardcore band, Discharge, as part of their upcoming North American tour.
Formed in 1977, Discharge has become one of the most iconic, long-standing bands in the hardcore/punk genre. The band is known for their fast-paced, “d-beat” style that has influenced a long list of other popular hardcore, punk and metal bands including Metallica, Slayer and Napalm Death. For almost four decades, Discharge has consistently released countless records, EP’s, Splits and Singles. The band is scheduled to release their newest album, End of Days, on May 13th and released their newest single, Hatebomb, earlier this month.
Their upcoming US tour is packed with great openers. In New York City, you will be able to catch Toxic Holocaust, Ringworm as well as the veteran sludge metal band, Eyehategod. Eyehategod released a new split this past January with the recently reunited punk band, Bl’ast. Check out Eyehategod’s song that appeared on the split, The Liars Psalm.
This is going to be a night of the finest hardcore and metal around and you’re going to want to pick up your tickets soon. Tickets are on sale now on Ticketweb for only $23.
