Santigold, always known to push the envelope when it comes to her art, has released a cameo ridden, star studded new video (which you can watch below) featuring the likes of Jay-Z, Andy Samberg, Olivia Wilde, and Pharrell.
The video for the poppy, upbeat track shows the singer strolling through the streets of New York with her dog, shopping, drinking coffee and dancing. All of the cameos (which are listed in the videos description in order of appearance) come in the form of cool digital overlays onto normal everyday objects such as Santigold’s shirt and the jumbo tron in the basketball game that is playing in the local coffee shop. These visuals are all courtesy of Los Angeles based rapper and visual artist Yung Jake, who is an exciting up and comer you should be paying attention to in the art AND music fields
The video is directed by Santigold herself (real name Santi White) and Sam Fleischner (who has directed videos for MGMT, panda bear and others).
The song is off of of the album 99 cents which was released earlier this year.
