The lineup for Le Festival d’été de Quebec, otherwise known as Quebec City Summer Festival, has just been announced. This will be the festival’s 49th year, and boasts an incredible lineup. This year’s headliners include American funk rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers, German rock band Rammstein, and the legendary Peter Gabriel & Sting.
The ten-day festival will be held from July 7th through the 17th, 2016. As per usual, the festival will be held on the beautiful and historic Plains of Abraham.

Le Festival d’été de Quebec started in 1968 as a small festival that featured local Quebec musicians and street performers. The festival began adding top-notch international acts by the 1980s and since then, the festival has grown exponentially. Since 2010, the festival has continually sold out tickets, and has been considered one of the most anticipated and beloved festivals.
The festival itself will be held across various venues sprawling Downtown Quebec. It aims to be a fun experience for all audiences. There are family friendly venues, venues that feature world music, blues, and more. In fact, the festival features music from just about every genre.
This year’s festival lineup includes notable performers from every field of music. This includes acts like international pop star Selena Gomez, country rock star Brad Paisley, indie rock group Peter Bjorn and John, and hip-hop artist Flo Rida. In addition, in a very special performance, Sting and Peter Gabriel will be performing together, playing their own hits and those from their respective bands, the Police and Genesis.
