The long time death metal veterans, Dying Fetus, announced that they would be headlining this year’s Metal Alliance Tour and will be playing at Gramercy Theatre on May 1st.
The band made the tour announcement on their Facebook last month as well as the supporting acts for the tour which include The Acacia Strain, Jungle Rot and Black Crown Initiate. The full-length US tour will also include appearances on select dates by Reaping Asmodeia, who will be performing at Gramercy Theater, from April 29th to May 4th and Nylithia from May 5th to May 8th. The band’s announcement of the US Tour comes as good news for fans after the band has been scheduled to appear in a series of European festivals this summer.
Formed in 1991, Dying Fetus has become an icon for the underground death metal scene. Known for the provocative lyrics that are often politically motivated, the band has become one of the most influential death metal bands to come out of the early 1990’s. For over two decades, they have constantly dished out the most brutal metal on the market. In 2012, the band released their seventh full-length record, Reign Supreme, that featured the track Subjected to a Beating.
Tickets for The Metal Alliance Tour are on sale now and you can pick up your tickets at Livenation now for $25. Great metal shows seem to be in short supply nowadays so don’t miss out on your chance to catch Dying Fetus along with many other supreme metal bands.
