Slayer Releases New Video For “You Against You”

The newest Slayer video is being hailed as an orgy of violence. Their single from last year’s LP Repentless seems like something from the television series Sons of Anarchy.

“You Against You” is another single from the Repentless album, but this time it carries the rhythm of the orgy of violence, as something traditional to the thrashing sounds of every Slayer album. The Sons of Anarchy reference fits with the scene of a human corpse turned into what can only be described as a pincushion of knives. Well at least they won’t be using those for some sort of leather sewing.

Our main character is a one eyed bandit that escapes from his holding cell and the riot ensues. It’s like Satan has emerged from the bowels of the Earth and he just wants violence to ensue. But then of course, like a flawed first draft to an essay, there are questions about the other characters in the music video to see where they fit in. Don’t believe it, click on the link below and see yourself on whether or not it is a good story plot for a fine piece of Slayer music.

The band is currently in the middle of a winter 2016 tour that began in February and was announced in early December. Slayer will also be playing some upcoming festivals this year, including the Sweden Rock Fest as well as Bloodstock Fest.
