Sarah Neufeld has released her video for the single “We’ve Got A Lot.” Neufeld is the former Arcade Fire violinist that has turned her own work into a solo work of true beauty.
The video was directed by Jason Last. The video is based around the scene of a particular crew of teenagers filming themselves while doing teenage stunts at beaches and music festivals in Miami. It is this notion of youth and old times that the message of the song really speaks out to Neufeld. “We’ve Got A Lot” can include powerful meanings of teens just wanting to have fun. The youth wanting something crazy and new, to have their memories and learn how much time has passed since the days of being carefree and rebellious have taken hold of anyone. Drones are used and so aerial shots and drone images are seen hidden in the video but capture the crew of teenagers throwing their weight around.
The interesting catch is that Neufeld is unable to be seen throughout most of the video. It’s a bunch of kids in this Miami setting, fixing their makeup and drying their hair early in the morning, jumping into the ocean on the weekend, and doing things like brand practices. The only time Neufeld is present, she’s dancing a choreographed scene on a South Beach boardwalk. Click on the video below and see for yourself.
