Tegan and Sara have announced that their eighth studio album, Love You To Death, will be available June 3. The group teased the album’s cover art on their Instagram page, which can be seen below.
Love You to Death is a follow up to the group’s last album Heartthrob, which was released in 2013. The critically-acclaimed record earned the group a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year, and featured the hit singles “Closer” and “I Was a Fool”. In addition, the group collaborated with the Lonely Island to develop the Oscar-nominated song “Everything Is Awesome,” for the 2014 animated comedy The Lego Movie. While it did not win the Oscar for Best Original Song, the track was still highly successful, selling over half a million copies in the US alone and resulting in a performance from Tegan & Sara at the 2015 Oscars.
Love You To Death will be available for pre-order April 8, with the first single likely being released the same day. Check out the album artwork as well as Tegan and Sara’s upcoming tour dates below.
