Influential Long Island melodic hardcore band, Silent Majority, has announced a show in Brooklyn with Iron Chic this July 2nd at Saint Vitus to help raise money for the Rob McAllister Family Memorial Fund.
Hardcore has always been about sticking together, right? Well that is exactly what this show is all about. Long time friend and former member of Iron Chic, Rob McAllister, passed away earlier this year and sparked the reunion. Silent Majority shocked fans everywhere when it was announced that they would be performing two shows this Spring in Amityville with other Long Island hardcore bands like Backtrack, Incendiary and High Card. The tickets for the reunion in Long Island sold out quickly and in response, Silent Majority and Iron Chic made the announcement that a third show in Brooklyn will be added for this Summer.
Formed in 1990, Silent Majority remains one of the most influential bands for all the hardcore coming out of Long Island. They released their first full-length record, Life Of A Spector, in 1997 and split up only a few years later.
Pick up your tickets for Silent Majority and Iron Chic for this fundraising event now for $20. This could be the only time you can ever catch a Long Island hardcore bash like this. You better hurry – it’s almost sold out.
