Ray LaMontagne To Headline SXSW 2016 Outdoor Stage Joined By Members Of My Morning Jacket

More developments happening in the South by Southwest (SXSW) camp, just announced on the SXSW website is the addition of Ray LaMontagne who will be headlining the SXSW Outdoor Stage at Lady Bird Lake which will take place next Thursday on March 17th in Austin, Texas. According to SXSW, LaMontagne will be performing Ouroboros, his new album in its entirety followed by set of songs from his whole catalog. Joining him on Outdoor Stage will be members of My Morning Jacket who will help take LaMontagne’s music to an entire new level of performance. The newly released album, which came out to the public Friday, March 4th, was co-produced by Ray and Jim James. The LP got huge reviews upon its release, Vulture Magazine called it “a 40-minute sonic kaleidoscope incorporating blues, jazz, folk, and psychedelia.”

SXSW Outdoor Stage at Lady Bird Lake, which was formerly the Auditorium Shores Stage, is one of the grandest stages of the SXSW experience. The Venue features a 3-day series of concert events dedicated to the benefit of charities, it is a free-to-the-public event to any attendee with a SXSW guest pass. Located at 800 W Riverside Dr. The stage will be seeing over 50,000 attendees of all ages through the entire three days between March 17th and March 19th, all coming to see performances of some of their favorite band. Each day features a lineup that will sure bring the fire for their show, with bands like Coheed & Cambria, Wolfmother, Brian Fallon, and the newly added Ray LaMontagne.

Ray LaMontagne has been set to close out the first day’s lineup, rounding out the full day of performances from Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Brian Fallon, Parker Millsap, and Carson McHone, ending the first day in a bang and a performance that attendees will not quickly forget. Gates are scheduled to open at 2:00PM with the first show beginning at 4:00PM, only Music and Platinum badges will allow entrance to the event.
