Indie-folk singer-songwriter José González and the classical-pop instrumental band yMusic will be performing at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The first show on March 11 is sold out, so a second show the following day on Saturday, March 12, has been added by popular demand. Now’s your chance to see the much anticipated show!
González is known for taking elements of folk, pop and other music traditions to build songs that are powerful, haunting, and intimate. Check out this single from his latest album “Vestiges and Claws,” described as largely revolving around ideas of civilization, humanism and solidarity.
For his performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, González is joined by the sextet of young performers equally comfortable in the overlapping classical and pop music worlds. Consisting of string trio, flute, clarinet, and trumpet, they have been able to collaborate with high profile names and have begun penning original compositions. This is a group that is on the rise, and the best way to see them will be on Saturday with José González!
