The hardcore supergroup Hesitation Wounds, featuring members of Slipknot, Touché Amoré, Trap Them and the Hope Conspiracy, dropped a ferocious new track. “Teeth” is raw and raging, was recorded by Alex Estrada and mixed by Kurt Ballou. Bolm describes the single and upcoming release, commenting:
I believe ‘Teeth’ reflects the musical background of each member into one short tune. The album, Awake for Everything, was a combined effort that started the summer of 2015 during our collective downtime…The album is half social commentary and half a personal outlet.
According to Rolling Stone, four artists from diverse bands joined forces to craft a groundbreaking project in two days. The self-titled 7′ EP was preceded by the single “A. Smith (Death of a Teenager)” before being released on Bolm’s own label, Secret Voice.
After five hours of songwriting on Sunday and an afternoon in the studio on Monday, the foursome unleashed a daring debut highlighting the best from Touché Amoré frontrunner Jeremy Bolm on vocals, Reveling and Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg, Neeraj Kane of hardcore punk band The Suicide File on guitar, and ex-Trap Them bassist Stephen “Scuba” LaCour.
Hesitation Wounds fuses diverse soundscapes into “an abrasive/no strings attached outpouring of fast and heavy hardcore not far off from the bands we’re already responsible for,” vocalist Jeremy Bolm revealed. The supergroup’s anticipated album Awake for Everything will be unleashed on May 27.
Meanwhile, the greatest and darkest names in heavy metal will headline an intensive tour ripping across North America in 2016. Rock bands SlipKnot, Marilyn Manson, and Of Mice and Men will appear in venues such as Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and Chicago Open Air.
