YouTube has announced the 3 day lineup for it’s SXSW showcases at Coppertank. The lineup includes popular music acts and Youtube entertainers. As on official SXSW show, the Youtube Showcase will be open exclusively to SXSW wristband and badge holders.
Rapper Future will be headlining the event. The hip hop artist has recently released his fourth album Evol through Apple Music. The album includes Weekend collaboration “Low Life,” “Fly Shit Only,” and 4 other songs that have already charted on the R&B/Hip Hop Billboard 100. Devonte Hynes’s R&B act Blood Orange headlines the following day. The singer is known for his psychedelic groves and atmospheric chillwave sound. Jamie XX holds the final headline slot. The electronic artist has experienced massive success over the years through his work in The XX and his critically lauded In Color album, hailed for it’s dazzling, eclectic beats.
Santigold will additionally appear at the event in support for her latest album, 99¢. Her recently released album was preceded by three singles: “Can’t Get Enough of Myself” featuring B.C., “Who Be Lovin’ Me” with iLoveMakonnen, and “Chasing Shadows”. 99¢ was released February 26 and was met with warm critical reviews.
It’s only appropriate that that the YouTube event displays stars who found their fame on the platform. Youtubes stars Aurora, Troye Sivan, and The Range will all make an appearance at the event as well.
