Acid Dad @ (Le) Possion Rouge

New York City’s emerging psych punk band, Acid Dad, began their first ever US tour this Spring and will be wrapping it up at home on April 28 at (Le) Possion Rouge.

Formed in late 2014, the punk band started out as typical as any other. The band members consists of all NYU students who formed a band to live out their college heyday. In 2015, the band began releasing a series of singles through their Soundcloud and began frequently playing night clubs and small venues throughout the city. Before long, they earned themselves a spot on the Oh My Rockness’s Hardest Working NYC Bands of 2015 list. In addition, they were also voted NYC’s best emerging artist of 2015 by The Deli Magazine.

The band went into the studio late last year and recorded their debut EP, Lets Plan A Robbery, which came out on February 26. Two days later, the band hit the road to embark on their first tour. After starting 2016 with a debut EP and the start of their first tour, it seems as if this could be a ‘make it or break it’ moment for the band who has the potential to gain a significant following outside of the five boroughs.

Acid Dad comes back to NYC to play at (Le) Possion Rouge on April 28 and tickets are on sale now for $10. Pick up your tickets now and give Acid Dad the homecoming they deserve.
