If there’s a hot dance/electronic or even rap song out, chances are DJ Snake helped out produce and mix on the track. Meet William Sami Etienn Grigahcine (Wow, that’s a mouth-full), also known as Grammy-nominated French musician, DJ Snake. He rose to fame from the 2013 dance-anthem Turn Down For What featuring Lil Jon and has now become one of the biggest names in electronic music. More recently, DJ Snake released Lean On with Major Lazer in 2015 and Get Low with Dillion Francis in 2014. Both tracks received praise from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) awarding DJ Snake with Gold for Get Low and Platinum for Lean On.
DJ Snake was nominated for producing Lady Gaga’s Born This Way and for Best Music Video on the track Turn Down For What. Luckily, he got to take home an award at the Billboard Music Awards for Top Dance/ Electronic Song for, yet again, Turn Down For What. DJ Snake also remixes songs like It’s You by Duck Sauce, New Slaves by Kanye West, and How Deep Is Your Love by Calvin Harris.
Tickets are already sold out for this unique show. But that doesn’t mean you can’t attend! Like I always say, there’s always a way into a concert. I’m not promoting sneaking in, but look online for tickets and don’t be afraid to wait the night before to grab those tickets because the prices will be lower on sites like StubHub.
