These alternative rock/electronic DJs from Belgium have created the soundtrack for a film about a nightclub and each band they’ve imagined has its own groove.

Belgica is an album that contains a mixture of many different sounds and styles. From Arabic music to funky electronic beats, this album has everything. Make sure to brush up on your languages because there are several different ones displayed in this collection.

Forrest Gump once said something that is too true, “Life [is] like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” This quote is the perfect example of this album. One second you could be listening to the alternative rock song, “Burning Phlegm – Nothing” and the next second you could find yourself listening to Arabic sounding electronic song, “Kursat 9000 – Cölde Kutup Ayisi.”

The surprises in this album will have you confused, yet wondering what the next song in line will sound like. You might think you’re biting into milk chocolate truffle, but then all of a sudden you taste raspberry and you’re not really sure how it happened. That’s exactly how you’ll feel when you listen to “They Live – The Cookie Crumbles.” It starts off sounding like some horror movie soundtrack and all of a sudden it turns into a hardcore alternative rock song. Every song has different vocals; in going from “Erasmus – Ti Recordi Di Me,” to “Charlotte – The Best Thing,” you go from woman yelling to a more calming voice. Like Forrest Gump said: you just never know what you’re going to get.
