Levitation Vancouver has just announced their lineup for 2016. The three-day event features artists Holy Fuck, Flying Lotus and The Oh Sees, among a plethora of others.
Taking place in Vancouver at various venues, Levitation Vancouver will be held between June 16th through the 18th, 2016. The main festival grounds will be located in Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park. In addition, several night performances will be held on Main Street at Rickshaw Theatre, Imperial and The Cobalt.
The festival is aimed at featuring experimental and psychedelic artists, and includes local as well as international musicians. Notable acts include Flying Lotus, Tycho, and the Growlers. Apart from featuring great music, Levitation Vancouver will also have various food trucks, beer gardens, merch areas and many more special events at their Malkin Bowl venue. In addition, the festival hopes to support local businesses and remain environmentally conscious while providing festival-goers with a unique and enjoyable experience.
Ticket prices start off at $165 CAD for a 2-day Malkin Bowl pass, and are expected to rise as it gets closer to the event. Prices for the night shows on Main Street range from $15 CAD to $25 CAD. More information on prices and the link to buy tickets can be found here.
The festival is sure to be fresh and exciting, as it is Levitation Vancouver’s second year. The festival is actually an offshoot of Levitation festival held annually in Austin, Texas. The original Levitation festival in Austin holds the same dedication to showcasing the best experimental and psychedelic local and international musicians. In recent years, Levitation branched out to various locations, beginning with Levitation France in 2013 and Levitation Vancouver and Levitation Chicago in 2015.
