It was recently announced that Beck, among several others, has now been added to the lineup. This will be his third time playing Fuji Rock, and his first time headlining the festival. Both Beck and Red Hot Chili Peppers performed at Fuji Rock’s first event in 1997, making this year’s festival truly spectacular.

The Fuji Rock festival was first held in 1997, with legendary performers including Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, and Green Day. It was originally held at the foot of Mount Fuji, and thus receives its name from that. However, since then, the festival has been held at Naeba Ski Resort, just a few hundred miles short of Mount Fuji.

The three-day event is the largest music festival in Japan, and routinely features big-name artists from all over the world. This year, it will be held from July 22nd to the 24th, 2016. Ticket prices range from $167 for a single-day pass, $298 for a 2-day pass, and $360 for a 3-day pass. Tickets can be purchased here.
