Mamiffer have debuted their second single from their new album, The World Unseen. The single titled, “Flower of the Field II,” can be heard below.
New Noise defined them as, “For Mamiffer, music is a divine language, a code to be deciphered, a map riddled with clues. The World Unseen is a conceptual and liminal document of numinous connection through an experience with loss. It is an exploration of subconscious and psychic bonds between the past and present, and the ways in which the musical devices of repetition and incantation create hands across the chasm that divide the human from the divine.” A very vivid description that puts the band’s sound into perspective.
Mamiffer is made up of Faith Coloccia of ISIS, and Aaron Turner of Old Man Gloom. The married couple make a harmonious duo. Collocia is a graphic designer and co-owns the label. Turner is the former frontman to ISIS which can be heard through their music now.
Their next album, The World Unseen, is set to be released on April 1st. They will then go on a North American tour starting in March until the first week of April.
