Grimes will be presenting “March of the Pugs,” an intimate evening with Christine and the Queens & Tei Shi at the Shrine Expo on April 21 as part of the upcoming Coachella Sideshows taking place throughout April. Laire Boucher, known by her alias and stage name Grimes, is a Canadian artist, musician, and music video director from Vancouver. She is involved in the industrial and underground electronic music scene, having first delved into the experimental genre when attending college.
Grimes released her debut album in 2010, and in a short amount of time has been impressing fans and critics alike with her unique combination of vocal elements that are rooted in diverse genres ranging from industrial, electronic, pop and R&B. In addition to her project as Grimes, she is also a member of the band L$D along with Kreayshawn and Tragik.
Also on hand to perform is French singer and songwriter Christine and the Queens, famous in the synthpop and indie pop world, and Tei Shi, indie pop singer songwriter from Argentina. Don’t miss out on this March of the Pugs showcasing the world’s upcoming synth-pop stars in April!
