Heads up, NYC punk fans. The Landscapes of Panic tour featuring punk/hardcore band, PEARS, and melodic hardcore band, Such Gold, is coming to Saint Vitus in Brooklyn this April for the final show of this killer co-headline tour.
If you’re one of those people who thinks that punk is dead, you better think again. Formed in 2014, PEARS has been popping up on the radar of punk and hardcore fans from time to time – and for good reason. These guys are the real deal and their debut album, Go To Prison, can attest to that. The album is aggressive, melodic and punchy just like any punk album should be. They recently came out with their two song EP, Letters to Memaw, which was a solid follow up to their debut album but leaves listeners wanting more. But no need to worry, of course. They recently announced that their second full-length record, Green Star, will be coming out on Fat Wreck Records on April 1st and it can be safe to assume they’ll be playing some new tunes off the record during their tour. Until then, check out their newest EP, Letters to Memaw.
Such Gold, the upstate New York melodic hardcore group, is another solid bunch of guys who know how to do it right. In 2014, they released their second full-length record, The New Sidewalk, which was an excellent follow up to Misadventures that has become their definitive record. For a band that always seems to be on the road, they know how to put together a solid album and rarely disappoint. Check out Engulfed in Flames from their most recent release, The New Sidewalk.
The two bands are scheduled to tear it up at Saint Vitus on April 21. Tickets are on sale now on Ticketfly.com for $10.
