Field Trip Announces 2016 Lineup Featuring Charles Bradley, Diiv And Santigold

For the last three years, the city of Toronto has hosted a festival that takes place right in the middle of this gorgeous green space and makes you forget you’re in the urban world. Field Trip festival is coming up slowly in the ranks as an exceptional music & arts festival, and released today on Consequences of Sound is the lineup of artist that will be performing at this year’s event on June 4th and 5th. Just as in previous years, this summer’s bill looks to be bursting with variety of performers from indie world, with artists such as Ra Ra Riots, Boy & Bear, Santigold, plus many other known and unknown acts that will come together and to inspire and captivate fans of all ages.

From their humble beginnings as Arts & Crafts’ 10th anniversary celebration, to the two-day boutique music and arts festival they are today, Field Trip Festival has been successfully captivating audiences for nearly four summers. Located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada at Historic Fort York & Garrison Common, the site sits at the foot of Bathurst Street and represents an amazing piece of the city’s rich history. It is a beautiful green field that overlooks the the skyline of the city, as if trying to let you know that nature is not that far away. Field Trip is about so much more than just the great, world-class music. Food, art, comedy, family, fashion and technology are among their many inspirations and each year’s Field Trip is dedicated to collaborative explorations of all those themes. Allowing for all ages to enter, the festival has given the attendees the opportunity to bring their whole family, giving children an incredible introduction into the culture of a festival and showing them safely and securely an experience of a lifetime they can grow from and cherish forever.

This year, in the early warmth of June, the park will come alive, being transformed into a colorful retreat that is diverse with so many exhibits. 2016 will bring a whole new crop of Toronto’s emergent visual creators to the Field Trip foreground. Fans and families will be able to explore the amazing green space and be immersed within the site like never before. They’ll be going bigger and better still, building an immersive, custom experience around the festival that will educate and also just plain blow some minds. The festival will also include a variety of comedy shows at their “Laugh Barracks” an indoor comedy stage that will feature up and coming local funny people as well as a handful of the city’s more established joke tellers. As it has each and every year, Toronto’s thriving culinary community will shine at Field Trip 2016. The selection of vendors includes an amazing cross section of the city’s fine food purveyors, showcasing original creations that include something for everyone.

Last, but certainly not least, is the newly released lineup, which includes past performers of the festival , such as Ra Ra Riot and Jason Collett, but boasts a mostly original lineup with plenty of new artists for fans to enjoy, looking to set the stage are popular performers in the indie world such as Santigold, Boy & Bear, Plants & Animals, The National, and much much more. Field Trip Festival is looking to be successful once again and bring joy to its attendees.
