As part of the upcoming Coachella Sideshows taking place in April, Death Grips and Savages will be performing at the Fox Theatre Pomona on April 20. Hailing from Sacramento, California, Death Grips formed in late 2010 and consists of Stefan “MC Ride” Burnett and Zach Hill. Their music has been characterized as drawing on hip hop, industrial, punk rock, and noise music. The newest body of work by them is “Bottomless Pit,” their seventh studio album to be released sometime in 2016. To get a sneak peak of what might be on the album, you should check them out live in April.
Also on the bill is Savages, a London-based rock band forming in 2010. The band’s second album was released last month ranking at #26 on the UK Albums Chart. The band was nominated for “Sound of 2013” by BBC and they look to once again be the sound of the year for 2016. The noise-rock, post-punk band is on the rise and there’s better way to see them than at the Fox Theatre in Pomona.
