Forbidden Fruit Announces 2016 Lineup Featuring Battles, Tame Impala And Underworld

Dublin, Ireland’s Forbidden Fruit Festival is gearing up for it’s sixth installment this summer. The multi-stage event will take place during the June Bank holiday, on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. The event has been promoted as a “modern day Garden of Eden, a gateway to forbidden fruit,” kicking off the summer by celebrating emerging music, art, and fashion.

Headlining the event is Australian rock group Tame Impala. The band is known for their groovy synth sound, falsetto-driven vocals, and visual displays during live performances. Their latest album “Currents” was universally lauded by critics and fans alike, garnering much success from singles “Cause I’m A Man,” “Let It Happen,” “Eventually,” and “The Less I Know the Better.”

Electronic rockers Underworld will dance their way through the festival, revving up fans for their first new album since 2010’s “Barking.” The group has recently released single and video “I Exhale.” Harley Streten, better known as Flume will trek northwest from Australia to make an appearance at this year’s festival. Fans can expect to hear music from his forthcoming album “Skin”.

Making a shorter trek, English musical collective Jungle will perform as the festival, bringing their modern soul and singles that include “Platoon,” “Busy Earnin,” “Time,” and “The Heat.” The pair is becoming increasingly noticed by music fans, much to the credit of their live performances throughout the previous year.
