WATCH: Soulwax Release New Video For “Ti Ricordi Di Me”

Soulwax has just released a video for their track “Ti Ricordi Di Me” along with their news of handling the Soundtrack for the new film Belgica.

Just after the news that Soulwax will release soundtrack for the film Beligca, by Oscar-nominated director Felix Van Groeninggen, on February 26, they have just announced the release of another cut from the album “Ti Ricordi Di Me.” For a full tracklist of the album see below. The new video is by the fictional duo Erasmus and is one of the many masks Soulwax will put on for this film. Each fictional band will carry the film’s story of two brothers who open bar that “quickly becomes a regular hangout for nighthawks,” as reported by SPIN. The gourp told SPIN this about this video’s fictitious front, “Erasmus, a group of wild bald women deliver an electro charged tribal attack with ‘Ti Recordi Di Me,’ techno sounds fuse & groove with ritual chanting to create a killer track that will detonate your dance floor.” The video can be seen below.

The film, Beligca, has already been screened at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The entire record for the film was mixed at Soulwax’s new Deewee studio and took the electro-rock heavyweights over 12 months to make. The group had this to say in a press release about the album.
“We recorded the original music being played in the club, wrote the music, rehearsed and recorded live on set the tracks played by the bands – ranging from a live kraut techno band, White Virgins, bequiffed psychobilly trio They Live through to hardcore outfit Burning Phlegm (featuring Sepultura’s IgorCavalera) whilst chanteuse Charlotte represents the other end of the spectrum with her neo soul pop.”

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
