The Ohio-based metal quintet Skeletonwitch welcomed Adam Clemens as their new vocalist. A new EP featuring Clemens was completed last month, scheduled for a summer release.
“I’m very proud to be a part of the Skeletonwitch camp, and I’m very excited about how the new EP turned out,” says Clemans. “Working with like-minded musicians is always a pleasure, and I’m confident that the new chapter of this band will carry the Skeletonwitch banner properly and proudly.”
“We are extremely excited to announce Adam as the new singer for Skeletonwitch. He’s a killer vocalist, lyricist, and all-around creative force. Please welcome him to the Skeletonwitch family as we begin this new chapter. As always, thanks to everyone who has, and continues to, support us,” adds guitarist Scott Hedrick.
Back in 2014, Chance Garnette, the former lead singer of Skeletonwitch, was absent from a couple tour dates which sacred up rumors. The band didn’t offer any explanation towards the matter until posting on their Facebook shedding light to the situation.
“Unfortunately, Chance is unable to finish out the tour as he has some serious personal matters to attend to. We ask you to respect his and our privacy regarding these matters.” They ended the nearly four-paragraph statement with, “Skeletonwitch is not going anywhere. See you soon.”
They sure have not gone anywhere, instead filling the void for what’s to come. The band will be going on their first tour together starting in March on the Decibel Magazine Tour.
