American heavy metal band Lamb of God will be continuing their tour through spring of this year, bringing Corrosion of Conformity and Clutch along for the ride. The tour includes appearances at a few festivals too, including Bonnaroo. The band is wrapping up their winter tour with Anthrax, Deafheaven, and Power Trip, with their last show this Friday in Los Angeles. Lamb of God will take a short break before launching their spring tour on April 30th in Fort Myers, Florida. They will finish out their tour on June 11th at Bonnaroo in Tennessee.
Playing death metal since 1994, Lamb of God played a heavy influence in the New Wave of American Heavy Metal movement. In the span of their career, they’ve released eight studio albums, a live album, and a compilation album. Their latest album, VII: Sturm und Drang, was released last July after a brief hiatus resulting from the incarceration of lead singer Randy Blythe. The album The album contains lyrics related to Blythe’s experience in prison in a foreign country after being charged with manslaughter. The band is currently nominated for Best Metal Performance at this year’s Grammys for their single “512”, the second single released from VII: Sturm und Drang.
American heavy metal band Corrosion of Conformity has been around since 1982, with seven studio albums released so far, along with a couple LPS and a live album. The band has taken two hiatuses in their career, but they continue to put out new music. Their last album, IX, was released in July of 2014 – find a review of it here.
Clutch, an American rock band from Maryland, VA, formed in 1991 and since then they have released eleven studio albums. For the past several years, the band has been signed to their own record label, Weathermaker. Their most recent album, Psychic Warfare, was released last October.
