The lineup for the KCRW World Festival at the Hollywood Bowl, a collaboration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, has been announced. The festival will start on June 11th and will continue throughout the summer, with many different artists performing collaborations and tributes. There will be lots of events going on at the festival – you don’t want to miss it. Brian Wilson, Kraftwerk, and Kurt Vile are just some of the many artists that will be performing at the festival, along with Diana Ross, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Sigur Rós.

Brian Wilson has been in the music industry 1961 – but you may know him as the leader and co-founder of legendary American rock band The Beach Boys. The band has sold 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. For the band’s 50th anniversary the surviving band members reunited for a little bit for a new studio album and a world tour. The album, That’s Why God Made the Radio was the band’s 29th studio album and was released back in 2012. It was their first new material released since Summer in Paradise back in 1992. Not too long again, Wilson announced that he would be going on tour to honor the 50th anniversary of his album Pet Sounds, released in 1966.

German electronic music band Kraftwerk has been producing music since 1970. They have released ten studio albums so far, their latest one being Tour de France Soundtracks, back in 2003. The album was re-released in 2009 under the new name Tour de France. It was originally recorded for the 10th anniversary of the Tour de France bike race, and it was the first studio album the band had put out in 17 years. Since then, the band has been going on a 3-D concert tour.

Kurt Vile is an American singer-songwriter and record producer who has been active since 2003 and has released six studio albums in his solo career. His latest one, b’lieve i’m goin’ down… was released last September and received fantastic reviews from critics (find a great review of it here). And just few weeks ago, Vile announced that he would be going on tour this spring. Vile is best known for his solo career, though you may have heard of his backing band The Violators.

Legend Diana Ross will also be in attendance at the Hollywood Bowl this summer. She’s been around since 1959, but she’s still going strong. She’s been on her tour In the Name of Love since 2013, performing throughout the Americas and Asia. Just a few days ago she announced that her tour will continue, and she will play in the U.S. and Canada.

Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós has been around since 1994. Recently, the band appeared on the TV show Game Of Thrones back in 2014 and even covered the song “The Rains of Castamere” (originally recored by The National).

If you saw Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, you’re familiar with Rodrigo y Gabriela’s work. They collaborated with Hans Zimmer on the film’s soundtrack. The Mexican acoustic guitar duo has also toured internationally and they even performed at the White House for President Obama back in 2010. Check out a review of their 2013 performance at the Hollywood Bowl here.

UPDATE (04/25/2016 8:15 PST): The Los Angeles Philharmonic has announced additions to the festival lineups. On August 7 Sufjan Stevens and Ibeyi will join with previously announced Kurt Vile and The Violators. On August 31 Earth, Wind & Fire members Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson plus members of Full Force have been confirmed for The Black Movie Soundtrack II.
