Deftones have just released a new single off of their new album, Gore, as well as a tour.

As Zane Lowe said during his Beats 1 Radio Show, “2016 just got a whole lot better for me and for millions of people around the world.” This is because Deftones have just released new single off of their new album, Gore. According to Pitchfork, the followup album to 2012’s Koi No Yokan is set to be released on April 8 via Warner Bros with much anticipation. The new track can be streamed below.

The Bands lead singer, Chino Moreno, had this to say to Lowe on his show about the new song.

“I feel as if like it’s just one of those songs that’s very Deftones where that dynamic is there as far as the even flow and that dynamic as those parts that go at your throat, you know? But it is also has a soothing quality as well and that dichotomy is what makes us who we are in a way. So I feel it’s a good representation of where we’re are right now and where we have been in the past as well.”

The Deftones have also announced tour that will start in early March in Costa Mesa, CA at the MUSINK Festival. The tour will take them all over North America and also parts of Europe for its second leg. The tour will eventually end in Reykjavik, Iceland at the Secret Solstice on June 18. Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
