Tim Gane from Stereolab has come up with a new project, the Cavern of Anti Matter. The announcement of the project’s new album came last November. Now there is single featuring the vocals of Bradford Cox from Deerhunter. The album, void beats/invocation trex, will feature Bradford Cox and Sonic Boom from Spacemen 3 as special guest appearances on some tracks. This album is considered the “album proper” of the Berlin trio band.
The “Liquid Gate” track video has been recently released today and it’s has a “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” vibe to the entire video. Even though there are no drawings of Lucy, it looks like the eye tripping experience of LSD, rolled into the lyrics of Deerhunter’s Cox. Much like the description of another album single “Melody In High Feedback Tones”, this single also carries the string of spectrum addicts, splitting stretching outwards like the cavern calls that ring in the everlasting darkness. “Liquid Gate” is the close up portion of “Melody In High Feedback Tones,” a complementary perspective of the big and small. The microscopic video reveals the poignant traces of the lost in senses sensation that could feel terrifying or euphoric in either sense. Check out the video below the article.
Void beats/invocation trex will be released the in February of this year on the Duophonic website. Fans can pre-order the album on the project’s personal website.
