SXSW Film Premieres Feature Plenty Of Musical Content

SXSW has already announced its band lineup that will happen soon in Austin, Texas but now SXSW has announced film lineup of movies being shown at the festival. The SXSW lineup has been posted on their film fest lineup website. The SXSW film fest will run from March 11 to March 19.

The accompanying film festival that will also take course in the nine day music span, include The Trust, featuring Sky Ferriera, Nicolas Cage, and Elijah Wood in the thriller movie. The plot of the movie goes that Nicolas Cage and Wood play corrupt cops that attempt to rob vault full of drug money. But along with The Trust comes music documentaries such as the Ethan Hawke biopic of Chet Baker, a jazz icon, in Born To Be Blue and the documentary about the iconic Brooklyn DIY venue that was forced to shut down two years ago in 2014, Goodnight Brooklyn — The Story Of Death By Audio. But there’s more to the documentary list than just those two stories. However, Don Cheadle’s Miles Davis biopic Miles Ahead, Sharon Jone’s Miss Sharon Jones, Jack White and T Bone Burnett’s The American Epic Sessions, and a documentary about a ’80s Japanese heavy metal band X Japan We Are X will also be included in the SXSW film fest where they were originally not going to be premiered.
