Primal Scream Release New Video For “Where The Light Gets In” Featuring Sky Ferreira

Primal Scream is ringing in 2016 with a bang, continuing to raise hell 24 years into their genre-defying existence. January saw the reissue of the band’s breakthrough album Screamadelica, a kaleidoscopic collection that critics and fans still struggle to categorize. February marks their headlining of Bristol’s 6 Music Festival next weekend, alongside the likes of Roni Size, Beak, The Blue Aeroplanes, DJ Pinch, and Tricky, among others. March will bring the release of the highly-anticipated forthcoming album, Chaosmosis. The video for the album’s leadoff single “Where The Light Gets In” is now available and can be viewed below.

The video, featuring upcoming singer-songwriter Sky Ferreira, uses every crayon in the box. Glittery wardrobes and guitars, multi-chromatic polka dot spotlighting, and Ferreira’s candy floss hair all provide an eyesight that complements the fizzy electro-pop single.

More familiar faces will make an appearance on Chaosmosis. Haim will be featured in 2 tracks (“100% or Nothing” and “Trippin’ On Your Love”) while Cat’s Eyes’ Rachel Zeffira will be heard in “Private Wars.” The track list has been promoted as a wide ranging set of songs, described as “angry and euphoric, personal and political, sounding like the distillation of so much that has come before plus a shot into the future.” The album follows Primal Scream’s 2013 LP More Light.
