On February 7th, you’ll have a chance to catch Coldplay perform at this year’s Super Bowl half time show. Seeing the guys perform in a football stadium should hopefully give you a good taste of what to expect when the make their way to Philly this summer for an appearance at Lincoln Financial Field. The gig is part of their upcoming 7-date tour, and Philadelphians were ecstatic to see their city as one of the highlighted engagements.
As part of a promotional stunt, Coldplay released images of various city skylines, and Philadelphians quickly recognized our city as the backdrop for one of those promos. The Chris Martin helmed band will make their way to Philly on August 6th and you should grab those tickets quickly, before they inevitably sell out. Tickets are currently available via presale, with the public on sale happening on February 5th at 10am.
Also performing with Coldplay during this year’s half time show will be their friend Beyoncé. The singer also has a starring role in the band’s recently released video for their track “Hymn For The Weekend.” The song is the second single from Coldplay’s album A Head Full of Dreams, a release which was met with mixed reviews.
