Were you in the audience for Houndmouth’s show last year at Union Transfer? If not, you have another chance to catch these guys when they head back to town for a show this April. They’ll be taking the Union Transfer stage once again on 4/22. If you did see them last year, you’ll obviously want to catch them again.
The band will be headed out on their upcoming spring tour this March, kicking things off first in Kentucky. The Philly stop is towards the end of the run, which goes until the end of April.
They of course got their start back in 2011. After playing local shows, they moved to a bigger audience playing at SXSW in March of 2012, which is where they were offered their first contract from Rough Trade Records. That year they were named “Band of the Week” by The Guardian. Their debut album, From the Hills Below the City, would come a year later. A slew of festival appearances followed, and the band has had a solid presence ever since. Their second record dropped in March of year. It featured their hit single, “Sedona.” Don’t miss them when they head back our way this April!
