Everyone knows Martin Skhreli as the man who raised the price of a less than twenty buck drug to the price of $750 dollars. Surely, people wanted him busted for raising the price, but justice was served when last year he was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for security fraud charges. But this time Skhreli is back in the news for the possible destruction of the two million dollar Wu-Tang album.
The Wu-Tang album was something Martin bought when he was already public enemy number one, where everyone in the US, including politicians, wanted his head on silver platter. Since the price gouger is now in jail, more or less house arrest with a five million dollar bail. Shkreli is thinking of destroying the precious two million dollar record or installing it in a remote place so that people have to make a spiritual quest to listen. “I’m not just the heel of the music world,” says Skhreli in his interview with VICE, “I want to be the world’s heel.”
If Skhreli decides to not destroy the record, then Noisey’s Allie Conti thinks the record should be released to the public so that there is a chance for people to listen to it freely versus having to spiritually request the album themselves. Either way whatever Skhreli decides to do with the album won’t help him much with payment options for the upkeep of his apartment or help him get out of prison. For committing a white collar crime to pay off debts from another company, there is no possible doubt he will make anything profit wise because his bank accounts are completely frozen. “From what I heard, it was definitely better than their last album, although I wouldn’t say it’s worth $2 million necessarily,” Allie said in her article, “I really hope Skhreli decides to release it to the public rather than destroy it, which is something he’s mulling over right now.”

Martin Shkreli has released a video that can be watched on Consequence of Sound with Shkreli that was directed by Ghostface Killah. Last week, Ghostface called Shkreli “shithead” and Shkreli threatened to remove all parts of Ghostface from the two million Wu-Tang Clan album he purchased following the news about his raise in price of a lifesaving AIDs medication.The album is the only copy that Shrkeli owns, according to Fader. The TMZ video shows Shkreli rapping to a song he wrote up threatening to remove Ghostface unless he receives an apology for the insult that was used. A representative for Ghostface was unable to leave a comment at this time.
