Post-hardcore band Drive Like Jeku will be performing at The Echoplex on February 28 in a rare and much anticipated show. The San Diego legends are newly reunited and are known for their insane rhythm sections, intricate guitar lines and fearsome yet thoughtful lyrics.
Drive Like Jehu’s music is often classified as post-hardcore, alternative rock, and emo, containing multi-sectioned compositions, interlocking guitar patterns, and orchestrated builds and releases. Their distinctive sound amongst other post-hardcore acts impacted the evolution of hardcore punk into emo. Though the band’s two albums were released in the 90s, the inspiration of those two releases can be seen today in many bands.
