Looking for Valentine’s Day plans? Look no further than Lee Fields & The Expressions show this February at Philly’s newest venue within a venue, The Foundry. (Located inside the recently opened Fillmore Philly). Lee Fields will be bringing his authentic soul sound to Philly for a perfect evening of music to share with your significant other, or to enjoy with friends.
Their most recent release, 2014’s Emma Jean, was partially recorded at Dan Auberbach’s Nashville studio. (Dan Auberbach of course fronts both The Black Keys and The Arcs, the latter of whom recently performed recently performed at The Fillmore). The album has been noted for providing that same soul sound that fans have come to love, while also providing with it a more updated approach.
Of course, the veteran soul singer is no stranger to the game. He recorded his first single back in 1969. In fact, there are very few singers from his day who are still active, and popular today. The North Carolina-born crooner made his start singing for his church, but now he delights fans across the country with his vocals. And you can enjoy a special, and very intimate show, this February at The Foundry.
