Brit-shoegazers, Lush recently laid plans to headline a forthcoming reunion tour this Spring and Fall-season. Still fresh off the heels of last November’s greatest-hits collection, Ciao!, the London dream-poppers will also fuel their return to the vast scene with the release of a heavily-packaged deal of a box-set aptly titled: Chorus via 4AD. Chorus, which is scheduled to drop this week, January 22 will feature 1990’s Gala, 1992’s Spooky, 1994’s Split, 1996’s Lovelife, and a Canadian B-sides set from 1996: Topolino.
Having created quite a stir in the music-industry with plans to play certain gigs and talks of a new EP and album this year, Lush first teased audiences back in late September with social media and scantily-clad website. Since then, announcing both a show in New York and then later word spread about an appearance at Indio, California’s titanic Coachella Music Festival. Lush is back in action and will issue its first precedented trek through the states in 20-years.
Cleverly crafted around the centerpiece-events to define each leg, Lush will embark on its West Coast venture on April 14 at The Roxy in Los Angeles, CA followed by the inevitable crowd-pleaser just a quaint two-days later, Coachella. The West Coast leg will then sail Portland’s Crystal Room, Seattle’s Showbox, and even skip up to Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom before hopping back-down to finish its stride on Coachella’s final day, April 23.
A week later, the London stalwarts will seek to make a prominent splash in the U.K. for a spell before returning to the U.S. in September for their East Coast leg of the reunion tour. Kicking-it-off at New York’s highlight Terminal 5, bouncing here-and-there before arriving at a big-comedown in Philadelphia on September 22.
