Junkie XL Scores Upcoming Marvel Comics Film ‘Deadpool’

Deadpool is anything but the comic relief mercenary, he’s the anti-hero that tends to grow on you. Junkie XL, the music producer for the film Mad Max: Fury Road that starred Charlize Theron and Black Mass that starred Johnny Depp, is working on the score to the Deadpool film that will be available for fans to watch as beautiful Valentines Day option for a movie date. The movie score will be available for purchase March of this year.

So the basic understanding of the Deadpool movie is about former Special Forces mercenary Wade Wilson, diagnosed with cancer: pancreas, lungs, liver, and kidneys, was given chance to be cured of the disease with regenerative powers. However, the experiment went astray and now Deadpool is the type of person you can’t kill because he will just bug you over and over again. The new hero, Deadpool, adopts some dark humor and sadistic comments while hunting down the man who almost got away with everything.

But how does this tie in with Oscar winning composer Junkie XL, also known as Tom Holkenborg? Holkenborg has been in the music industry since 1993 with his band Nerv and working alongside metal bands such as Fear Factory. In 2001, his remix of the Elvis classic, “A Little Less Conversation” made number one in charts across the board. His unique range of music and experience is enough to see the quality and craftsmanship in his music when it comes to working on something just as unique as a man in a red and black costume. For a man who as collaborated with musicians such as Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and whose work is ranging from rock to techno to even industrial music pieces, it almost makes you want to hit the pre-order subscription for the film score before it even comes out.
