Coachella is becoming the place of legendary reunions this year. Ice Cube appeared on The Talk, where it was revealed the desert will now bring back fellow members of N.W.A.
Ice Cube was originally announced on the lineup alone but it looks like he had other plans. “I’ve got some tricks up my sleeves … I’m gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together. Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A., West Side Connection, everything I’ve been doing over the years,” Ice Cube explained on The Talk.
Last summer, as the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton hit theaters, Ice Cube reunited with DJ Yella and MC Ren for a performance at the BET Experience. It was announced recently that N.W.A will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 8th of this year, maybe Dr. Dre will be compelled to join Ice Cube and the rest of N.W.A on the Coachella stage.
Ice Cube also hinted at the potential use of holograms, saying that the show is set to have some “great visuals,” according to Mxdwn UK. Meaning Cube might take a page out of Dr. Dre’s book and bring Eazy-E back in hologram form.
There have been no confirmations yet from the other members of N.W.A.
