The Duke Spirit Releases New Song “Hands”

The Duke Spirit, a London-based rock band, are back on the alt-rock radar after five years of musical quietude. They released the single “Blue and Yellow Light” at the end of October, which made it on the BBC 6 playlist. Yesterday, The Duke Spirit dropped their newest track on YouTube titled, “Hands,” released through Ex Voto Records. The single was taken from Kin, their newest project expected Feb. 19 and their first album since the 2011 release, Bruiser.

To accompany Kin‘s release, The Duke Spirit has some shows lined up in England, beginning with a concert at Islington Assembly Hall in London on Feb. 24. They’ll follow up with three more shows in Norwich, Bristol and Manchester. While the British rockers have no current shows planned in America, they’ve crossed the Atlantic to perform in the past, even making an appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and the Late Show with David Letterman. And if you have no shame in admitting a love for Guitar Hero, you may recognize their song, “Send a Little Love Token” as one of the tracks you’ve rocked out to.

Kin is available for preorder on iTunes and pledgemusic.com, which includes “Hands” and “Blue and Yellow Light.”
