Avett Brothers Announce Summer 2016 Tour Dates

Last month The Avett Brothers gave us their 14-song Live, Vol. Four album, which was recorded live at a New Year’s Eve show in Raleigh, NC. Now, they’re extending that generosity by adding some concert dates to their Summer 2016 Tour (dates below).

Starting at the Azalea Festival in their home state of North Carolina on April 7, the band will circle round the Land of the Free, originally planning to end at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN on June 11. However, they’ve tagged on 10 more shows to their tour, including three at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. The aesthetic rock-structure venue houses nearly 10,000 people and has become an annual tradition for the folk-rock band.

Composed of brothers Scott Avett and Seth Avett (who have been putting out sweet tunes together since their self-titled debut in 2000) along with bassist Bob Crawford and cellist Joe Kwon, The Avett Brothers have been nominated for a Grammy and received musical praise fromThe Rolling Stone, The New York Times and Paste in the likes of Bob Dylan and Mumford and Sons. They are currently working on their ninth studio album, to be released later this year.
