Today, Kanye West has released a new track titled “Real Friends” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and a snippet of “No More Parties In LA”, a collaborative track with Kendrick Lamar. In addition, rumor has it Kanye will be releasing a new song every Friday leading up to his next album.
Sources cited that Kim Kardashian posted on twitter, “Friiiiiiday!!!! New music!!!! #EveryFriday #Swish #RealFriends“. This hinted at the revisitation of “G.O.O.D. Fridays,” the 2010 series in which Kanye released a new track every Friday in anticipation of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
“Real Friends” was produced by Kanye, with a sample by Frank Dukes and Boi-1da and drum programming by Havoc. The release today has fans excited for the return of the Old Yeezy. “Real Friends” revisits familiar subject matter, sound, but most importantly West’s vulnerability. The combination of all three have listeners rejoicing to have, what they call, the “real” Kanye West back.
Sources say, “No More Parties in LA” was produced by Madlib, with the intro produced by Kanye. The track features the same sample from Ghostface Killah’s “Mighty Healthy” that was the same sample Kanye used on “New God Flow” with Pusha T.
