Take a trip with psychedelic, indie group Mystic Braves for their vinyl release party for Days of Yesteryear. Recently, Mystic Braves performed at the notorious Growlers’ Beach Goth 4 party in October 2015. Fortunately, I witnessed their kaleidoscopic essence from just a few feet away. Hearing them live you’ll wonder if the band hopped out of a time machine from the 1960’s. Not just their music is 60’s inspired but also, their shaggy look and vintage clothes are. Mystic Braves embodies the 60’s without trying too hard.
If I had to express Mystic Braves in one word that’d be simple. Groovy. I ended up loving Mystic Braves so much I actually bought their three albums! Yeah, what loser buys music these days? Just kidding, but seriously Mystic Braves has a killer discography including Mystic Braves, Desert Island, and Days of Yesteryear. If you’re into garage rock, psychedelic, or just straight up good music you’ll love Mystic Braves.
You don’t have much to lose by going to see Mystic Braves. I guess just a measly $18. But I doubt you’ll regret the decision of experiencing them live. Get ready for a truly far-out, right-on night with the Mystic Braves and openers Cellar Doors. Have fun!
