This April, Bonfire presents Skinny Lister, along with Beans on Toast and Will Varley, at Milkboy. Skinny Lister will head out on a North American tour beginning on St. Patrick’s Day in Florida (playing with Frank Turner). From there, they’ll be part of Flogging Molly’s Salty Dog Cruise. You can catch them here in Philly when they arrive at Milkboy on April 3rd.
Skinny Lister is a folk-punk-pop 6-piece hailing from London. They got their start back in 2009, but officially became a six-piece in 2013 when they added their drummer. This past year was an eventful one for the band, having released their second album, Down on Deptford Broadway via Xtra Mile Recordings. They also toured with Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls throughout the US and the UK. And 2016 is shaping up to be an equally exciting year for the Brits. They’ll again be joining Turner on the road, this time for the European leg of the tour. After that, they’ll head out on their headlining US tour, where we’ll see them take the stage come April.
They’re also hard at work on their third album. They’ve been playing a few tracks off the album at recent gigs, so look forward to some more of that when they come this way in the spring. There’s also a slew of festivals lined up for the band this coming summer. So, maybe you’ll find more chances to catch them as they continue to tour. In the meantime, grab your tickets now for their Milkboy show on April 3rd!
