Guns N’ Roses Confirm Several Original Members For Reunion

Guns ‘N’ Roses announced their reunion lineup to feature some of the original members that formed the band back in 1985. So far guitarist Slash, vocals Axl Rose, and bassist Duff McKagan are the confirmed members to the band. The drummer for Guns ‘N’ Roses has not yet been announced and it is unclear whether or not that the original drummer would return to the band. Progress music wise for the group has been slim, only one album Chinese Democracy has been made, but that album was released back in 2008.

Even though the band has only reached the band lineup announcement, the second part that includes the tour dates have not been released yet probably until all heads are accounted for. Although there have been heated arguments and words said between Slash and Axl, the two have reconciled this year and hope to start on a new page in the bands upcoming chapters. “In a nutshell, personally I consider him [Slash] a cancer and better removed, avoided—and the less anyone heard of him or his supporters, the better,” said Axl in an interview back in 2009. “It was probably way overdue, you know,” Slash said in an interview last year, “But it’s, you know, it’s very cool at this point.”

Slash, McKagan, and drummer Matt Sorum formed the supergroup band Velvet Revolver, which was then led by Stone Temple Pilots late vocalist Scott Weiland.
