Anthrax has just made their brand new track “Breathing Lightning” available to be streamed.
One of metal’s big four, Anthrax, has just premiered their new song “ Breathing Lightning” on the BBC Radio 1 ‘Rock Show’ with Daniel P. Carter on January 3. The band took it a step further by making the track available for streaming. The new track is off of their 11th studio album, For All Kings and is the second release from the album. The first release came back in October 2015 titled “Evil Twin.”
In a preview clip for the track, guitarist Scott Ian said, “Lyrically, it’s another song that was influenced by Stephen King. Stephen King has been such a giant part of my life. His Dark Tower series; if I had to pick one thing that I love the most from him it would be the Dark Tower books because there’s seven books so I don’t have to choose one. The character Roland; it’s just something that stays with me a lot … I’m kind of weaving in and out of reality and fantasy in that song.”
The song can be steamed below.
According to Loudwire, “Breathing Lightning” will be available at indie retailing beginning January 15 as a download card. The download card can be found as an included bonus to their fully customized, limited-edition 52-card deck of playing cards. The download card will take until February 26 till it enables the holder to download the entire new album.
