LISTEN: Previously Unheard Aaliyah Song “Shakin'” Featured On New Timbaland Mixtape King Stays King

Timbaland‘s new mixtape, King Stay King, features an unreleased track from artist Aaliyah titled, “Shakin”. Timbaland shared his mixtape for free streaming on Christmas day. Fans can now listen to the whole project here.

Last year around August, Timbaland revealed his plans to release unheard music from Aaliyah. He posted picture of the R&B singer to Instagram, saying: “People ask me all the time do I have any babegirl music we haven’t heard. Well the answer is YES.” In addition, Timbaland hinted last month that he is planning to record a country album with Justin Timberlake.

Aaliyah has worked with Timbaland in the past. Record producers Timbaland and Missy Elliott aided in Aaliyah’s second studio album One In A Million. It sold 3 million copies in the United States and over eight million copies worldwide.

“Shakin” is the second track on the mixtape, also featuring MC Strado. In addition to Aaliyah, Timbaland’s mix showcases other artists like 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Migos, and Rich Homie Quan and Tink. The mix only builds the 2016 release of Timbaland’s forthcoming album Textbook Timbo.
