Grimes has just released a new track to her tumbler page titled “Fifteen Minutes to”

Claire Boucher, or Grimes as we all know her, has just uploaded a surprise unreleased track via her Tumblr account, according to Pitchfork, that she has had under wraps for awhile. She claims that the track “probably” pre-dates Halafaxa, one of her full-length albums of 2010. Well needless to say that much like a good wine, a Grimes track only gets better with age.

For any fan of Grimes that hears that a song comes from her earlier stages in her career there is an expectation of a different sound to her newer material. Back in 2010 Boucher’s work was a lot less Pop influenced and more creatively raw. The two minute “Fifteen Minutes to” track is no exception to this expectation.

As reported by Music Times, The new track was actually first discovered by fans in an old episode of Midnight Poutine Podcast that aired in March of 2010. Soon after these fans posted to tumbler about the track, Boucher officially released it to her own page.
