The Milk Carton Kids have announced several dates for their upcoming North American tour beginning in April 2016. The indie folk duo will be headlining a plethora of shows all over North America in support of their acclaimed album Monterey, released in May 2015.
Rather than sticking to the studio, many of the songs from Monterey were recorded in actual live venues before the band performed their shows. As a result, fans can expect an intimate and live-friendly sound for the upcoming tour.
The tour announcement caps off an exciting year for the duo, who also received their second GRAMMY nomination earlier this month for Best American Roots Performance for their song “City of Our Lady.” They were previously nominated for Best Folk Album of the Year in 2013 for their third album, Ash & Clay.
Two of the tour’s stops will feature special performances with The Avett Brothers at the Greek Theatres in Los Angeles and Berkeley, CA on April 29 and 30.
