Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Mac DeMarco will be performing at the Greek Theatre May 19 off the heels of his latest mini-LP release “Another One.” Known for donning a slacker, Demarco is anything but that. He is keeping fans happy with a continuous touring schedule and a starting up a new fan club. DeMarco has mentioned Shuggie Otis, Steely Dan, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Jonathan Richman and The Grateful Dead as favorite artists.
The title track was accompanied by a music video directed by DeMarco himself.
Another One debuted at number 25 on the Billboard 200 and number one on Top Rock Albums, making it DeMarco’s highest-peaking release to date and first number-one release on the latter chart. It sold 13,000 copies in its first week, with 6,000 from vinyl. Its debut also represented DeMarco’s best album sales week to date. The rising star has a lot to work with and a lot left to create, so be sure to catch him when the tour makes a stop at the Greek Theatre in May!
